They are excited to bring to you the best of jazz and blues artists from Louisiana and beyond, featuring our 2014 Highland Jazz & Blues Festival Headliner, Kermit Ruffins of New Orleans’Basin Street Records, as well as us.
You may know us separately as Mudbug Madness, The Red River Revel Arts Festival, or CORK, but together we are Brew. Red River Revel, Inc. and Downtown Shreveport Unlimited, along with Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport are proud to present the 6th Annual Brew: A Premier Beer Tasting afternoon with Professor Porkchop and the Dishes.
All proceeds from Brew will be used to fund additional programs provided by DSU and the Revel. Get ready to “Ostendo Sum in Insania” or “Revel in the Madness!”
Professor Porkchop will make a return appearance on July 29 to one of America’s music and arts epicenters – Austin, Texas – to share the stage with Grammy Award-winning drummer Ernie Durawa. Along with Jeff Plankenhorn on guitar and Chris Alcaraz on bass, the quartet will entertain the crowd at Austin’s legendary Strange Brew 6-8pm.
Here is the video from the last visit.
On May 29, Professor Porkchop and the Dishes performed at the Municipal Auditorium for the North Louisiana Economic Partners (NLEP). It is always a pleasure to play for NLEP, especially on a stage with so much history from Hank Williams to Elvis Presley. The newly renovated Municipal Auditorium is better than ever. The acoustics are incredible and as always the Dishes laid it down!
